About This Piece

This piece is based on characters from Welsh and Celtic folklore, or at least an idea of them. This piece is based on the Celtic goddess Arduinna, a being from the forests of France. The figure was taken from an old photograph in the artist's collection, and the background a mix of evocative landscapes of Swallow Falls from North Wales, and the Valley of the Rocks from North Devon.
