About This Piece

In this piece, David draws from his collection of early photographic portraits, focusing on subjects with a distinctive character that speaks across generations. Using a portrait of a fatherly old man, he places the figure in Annwn, the mythical Welsh realm where reality and imagination merge. The work explores the complex, unpredictable landscape of parenthood, suggesting that family connections are rarely straightforward. These prints are taken from the original 1/1 piece that was shown at Y Lle Celf at the 2019 National Eisteddfod Of Wales.

Technical Specifications

Each print is made using the finest ingredients, and there is no low grade, unmanaged “print on demand” here. David creates, inspects, packages and posts each print himself. They are printed using a Canon Giclée printer and archival inks on heavyweight matte 308gsm Hahnemuhle Photo Rag paper, ensuring both the best colour matching and archival stability.
