About This Piece

This piece is based on characters from Welsh and Celtic folklore, or at least an idea of them. Returning to vintage Victorian portraits for inspiration, the artist creates something new with a quasi-folkloric character: the Forest Queen. This figure embodies the enchanting essence of nature and mystery, drawing from the rich visual language of the past while inviting a fresh interpretation.
