About This Piece

The elusive Natives of the Red Dragon (Trigolion y Ddraig Goch) were last seen in the woods near Llandegley. According to legend, these secretive guardians protected the last of the Welsh Dragons.

This artwork offers a playful interpretation of the tale. Huw, initially sceptical of the legends, joined thinking it was all nonsense. However, the shock of encountering a real dragon left him speechless—and the target of endless jokes from his fellow Natives.

An original watercolour and ink painting on handmade Khadi paper, enhanced with gold leaf, float mounted in a black kick-stand frame to show off the raw deckle edge of the paper.

Size And Frame

David offers the piece framed. The original piece is approximately A5 sized - 21cm x 14.8cm (8.3 inches x 5.8 inches). The piece is float-mounted on grey card in a black rimmed frame for ease of display with a hanging bar on the rear, or can be freestanding with a kick stand.
