About This Piece

This print is taken from an original art work based on the legend of Merlin's Oak in Carmarthen. The old oak was prophesied to carry a curse, should it fall then so would Carmarthen, under the spell of its long celebrated wizard Merlin. Of course, they demolished it in the 1970s, as it became unstable and little more than a withered stump. There was severe flooding not long after, but Carmarthen remained. It survived, just maybe because the ghost of Merlin was happy the town had done its best to honour his memory for all the years the tree stood. And now a new oak grows in the location of the old one, so the legend persists.

Unframed Sizes

The unframed print is available in 3 sizes:
• Small (A6 paper) - 148mm x 105mm (5.8 inches x 4.1 inches)
• Large (A5 paper) - 210mm x 148mm (8.3 inches x 5.8 inches)

The A5 version has a 10mm (0.4 inch) border, the A6 has a 5mm (0.2 inch) border.

Frames

The print can also be ordered in a frame for ease of display.

The frames have a 15mm (0.6 inch) black frame with glass. It is ready to hang with a picture hook on the rear and a kick stand. The print is float mounted on a grey background card.

Technical Specifications

Each print is made using the finest ingredients, and there is no low grade, unmanaged “print on demand” here. David creates, inspects, packages and posts each print himself. They are printed on matte 180gsm white paper.
