About This Piece

The image is inspired by a vintage photograph from the 1960s, a snapshot capturing a fleeting moment at a Halloween party. Previously discarded and forgotten, it resonated with the artist, who saw something in it enough to save the original photo from being ignored. David appreciates the simplicity of the snapshot aesthetic and capturing a fleeting moment that had been left to the dustbin.

The drawing is made with Polychromos colour pencils on Bristol Board, with matt varnish over the top.
