About This Piece

In this artwork, David imagines an alternative life for the famous Welsh giant Idris (of Cadair Idris fame). We get an insight into Idris' personal life and the domesticity. However, the question remains, what made Idris come down from the mountain, and finally escape.

This picture was one of a pair chosen to be shown at the 2025 Y Lle Celf at the National Eisteddfod of Wales in Wrexham (Picture 3).

The piece is Giclée printed on high-end archival Canson Infinity Photorag, and coated with a satin Giclée varnish.
