• David W J Lloyd is a Welsh artist whose figurative work inhabits the liminal space between folklore and modernity, drawing deeply from his homeland's rich mythological heritage.

Born in Cardiff in 1972, he gained his formal education at Falmouth School of Art & Design after completing his foundation studies at Howard Gardens Faculty of Art & Design, where he developed his distinctive approach to narrative-driven artwork.

This distinctive approach has earned him placement in exhibitions at prestigious venues including Aberystwyth Arts Centre, the gallery@Oxo on London's South Bank, and selection for notable shows such as The National Eisteddfod's Y Lle Celf (2019), The Royal Cambrian Academy's Winter Open (2022), and The Wales Contemporary (2022).
